Eddie was a lifetime member of the Widewater Fire Department for more than 30 years and was the original Fire Chief of Potomac Hills Fire Department in Stafford. Eddie was also an avid huntsman and fisherman.
He was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by three daughters, Tina Kennedy (Kevin), Kimberly Shupp (Scot) and Julie Turner (Mike). He is also survived by his brother and best friend, Gary Sams (Janet); and eight grandchildren, Justin, Patrick, Emily, Mikey, Hunter, Ryan, Meghan and Erik.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel, 186 Shelton Shop Road, where a funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 27. Interment will follow at Stafford Memorial Park.
