He was born on February 2, 1950, in Pulaski, VA to the late Logan Lafayette and Ella Elizabeth (Farmer) Brown.
Wesley graduated from Stafford High School and embarked on a career as a correctional officer, dedicating 35 years of service at the Lorton Prison. His life was enriched by his passion for animals, ranging from dogs to peacocks, pheasants, and even monkeys. Known for his love of animals, Wesley was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed all types of hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Debbie Brown; one son, Rob Brown and his wife Carmen; two grandchildren: Charly Ruelo and Charlotte"Cha" Ruelo; and countless friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, located at 186 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, Virginia, 22554, with Pastor Tommy Winstead officiating. Interment will follow at Grace United Methodist Church Cemetery in Fredericksburg, Virginia. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
