John William Holmes

John William Holmes, 25, of Stafford, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at his home. John was born on May 27, 1992 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia and was a lifelong resident of Stafford, Virginia. John graduated James Monroe High school located in Fredericksburg, Virginia in 2011 and enjoyed football. He played for his school as a linebacker and a full back. His favorite NFL team was the Philadelphia Eagles whom he cheered on as they won this year’s Superbowl. John also had a love for music and a strong desire to manage. He would say, it could be anything just as long as he was a manager. John is known for his big smile which was infectious and filled a room. John also possessed a joyous personality and he would bring happiness to those in his presence. John is proceeded in death by his grandfathers, John Holmes and Randolph Williams, both of Stafford, Virginia. He is survived by his parents, John Holmes and Ingrid Williams of Stafford, and siblings Dominque Williams of Lynchburg, Virginia; Shanita Williams, Henry Minor, Terrence Minor, Tamika Holmes, and Sean Holmes all of Stafford Virginia. He leaves to mourn, grandparents Elizabeth Holmes (Robert Branch) of Stafford, Virginia and Joyce Harris of Spotsylvania, Virginia and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and three very close friends; Cheyenne Ramirez, John Dodson, and Cortez Herring. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Carver Cemetery.
