Kim Marie Cleary passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, surrounded by her family. Kim was a bright light to everyone who knew her— full of creativity, laughter, and warmth.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ron Schmitz, and is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Michael Cleary; her children, Jay Schmitz of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Michael Cleary 11 of Supply, North Carolina, Alicia (Robbie) Miller of Stafford, Virginia, and Trevor (Nicole) Cleary of Seattle, Washington and her cherished grandchildren, Xaven and Vazer Schmitz, and Mason and McKenzie Miller, who brought her endless joy and laughter.
She is also lovingly remembered by her mother, Rose Schmitz; her brothers, Mark Schmitz, and Jim Schmitz; her sister, Nancy Schmitz; and their families.
Throughout her life, Kim expressed her artistic spirit through her work as a Retail Visual Designer, where she brought imagination and beauty to everything she touched. She loved traveling, photography, scrapbooking, attending auctions, and especially living in her beloved beach house at Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, which she personally designed and beautifully decorated in a coastal theme that reflected her love of the ocean and relaxed seaside living. But nothing meant more to her than time spent with family and Lacy, her pet dog, for 15 memorable years.
Forever Remembered:
Kim will be remembered for her generous heart, her adventurous spirit, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Her love lives on in her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and all who were blessed enough to call her a friend.
