Larry Keith McPherson

Mr. Larry Keith McPherson, age 66 of Vernon, AL and formerly of Whiteville, NC, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019, at his residence. Mr. McPherson was born November 7, 1952, in Whiteville, NC, to the late James C. and Margaret (Walton) McPherson. He played football for Woodbridge High School in Woodbridge, VA. He was a heavy equipment operator in Northern Virginia, worked for Lorton Prison until it closed, sold John Deere tractors and equipment for Greenline in Fredericsburg, VA, and retired as a mechanical engineer at Mountain View High School in Stafford, VA. Mr. McPherson loved Disney and enjoyed visiting Walt Disney World in Florida as often as he could. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with friends and family. Mr. McPherson is survived by his wife of 46 years, Inge (Bachert) McPherson, of Vernon, AL; daughter, Dawn (Robert) McDonald; three grandchildren, Remington, Eliana, and Rossi McDonald; one brother, Dale (Barbara) McPherson of Virginia; one mother-in-law, Lore Bachert of Virginia; two brothers-in-law, Fred Bachert and Jerry Bachert; one sister-in-law, Nancy Crawford; and many other family and friends.
