Melvin Lee Jennings

Melvin was a bookkeeper for American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC) and was also a retired U.S. Navy veteran.

Melvin is preceded in death by his wife Deanne Jennings and his parents Charles Jennings and Rosemary Schaedler.

Melvin is survived by four children; Sheila Arritt and her husband Ray of Fredericksburg, Janine Dickson of Allen, TX , Anthony Jennings and his wife Tracy of Fort Polk, LA, Brian Jennings and his wife Delia of Winchester, VA; and; brothers, Larry Jennings of Aurora, IL and Ronald Jennings of Phoenix, AZ; step sisters, Diane and Janet of Aurora, IL; twelve grandchildren, Alicia, Kyle, Logan, Mariah, Simon, Erica, Christopher, Rebecca, Justin, Catelin, Gabrielle and Wyatt; and one great granddaughter, Cheyenne Arritt.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery with his late wife, Deanne who was also a military veteran.
