Michael is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Eckert, a son, Michael Eckert and three daughters; Christy, Sarah and Cassandra Eckert and three grandchildren. Other survivors brothers John Martin and Arthur Eckert and a sister Cindy Martin.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday November 13, 2013 from 6-7 pm a short service will be held at 7 pm. At Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service Stafford Chapel 186 Shelton Shop Rd.
In lieu of flowers the family asked expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the ALS Association 1275 K. Street NW Suite 250 Washington, DC. 20005 in Michael’s name.
