Pete is survived by his wife of almost 29 years Laura Lohr Fox, three children, Brady Joseph Fox, Cassidy Elizabeth Fox and Mackenzie Anne Fox. He is also survived by his mother, Carmela Fox, a brother, Michael Fox (Christine), a sister, Sharon Swaha (Chuck), and numerous in-law’s, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Fox and sister Kelly Fox.
Pete was born in New York but spent most of his life in Virginia. He attended Potomac High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Mary Washington College. After graduation he began his career with the Department of Commerce in the Bureau of Economic Analysis Division for almost 30 years. Pete touched the lives of many with his warm, radiant smile and was a friend to all, though there aren’t words special enough to capture his true character. Pete loved his family and puppies more than anything but a close second was spending time in the mountains, trying a new BBQ recipe and of course his beloved New York Mets! We are nothing short of blessed for the time we got with the best father, husband, son and brother.
The family will hold a celebration of Pete’s life on Sunday, September 12th from 12:00-2:00pm at the Barley Naked Brewing Company, 15 Tech Parkway, Stafford, Virginia 22556. If you have any photos of or with Pete that you feel comfortable sharing, please email them to [email protected] by September 10th or print and bring them with you to the celebration. We would like to reflect on some of Pete’s happiest moments. Please feel free to wear New York Mets attire!
