He grew up and spent much of his early life in Connecticut’s Fairfield County, attending Greens Farms Academy and later the University of Connecticut in Storrs. In June 1981 he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served as a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant with the 10th SFG (A). In 1992 he married his wife, Tuanh, at the St. Patrick Cathedral Parish of Bridgeport. He and his family moved across the country and back, living in several states as he developed his career in IT until finally settling in Stafford, Virginia.
Peyton was a passionate reader, writer, photographer, artist, and student of countless subjects. He had a great love of nature, history, archeology, film, games of all kinds, Taster’s Choice coffee, and his family. Those who knew him well will long remember his fondness for travel and beaches; especially Cape Cod’s High Head Beach and the U.S. Virgin Islands of St. Thomas and St. John.
He left a lasting impression on everyone he met as an intelligent, quick-witted, and charismatic individual.
Peyton is survived and greatly missed by his wife, Tuanh; his three children, Natasha, David, and Brandon; his sister, Andra; his mother, Carol; and the rest of his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, David.
