Rob was born June 18, 1965 and grew up in Lorton, he loved hunting, fishing, hanging out with friends and family, and the outdoors, especially, being on the boat in the river. He attended Hayfield Secondary School and would have graduated with the Class of 1983. Rob’s careers path led him to work for Safeway, as Seafood Manager, Fairfax County as a laborer and then to truck driver, Owen & Sparrow Trucking, Waste Management, and finally VDOT, where he really enjoyed snow seasons. He was always helpful to everyone and would give you the shirt off his back, if you needed it. In his later years, you would find him playing with his grandkids or just relaxing down at the river in deep thought or enjoying nature. He will be deeply missed by family and friends and all who knew him.
The family will hold a celebration of Rob’s life within the near future, information is forthcoming.
