Robert “Booker” Carroll, age 72 of Stafford County, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his residence, Monday, February 6, 2023.
He was the beloved husband of 53 years to Martha Sepulveda Carroll; loving father to daughters, Christina Perry (Dave), Reagan Murray (Joe) and son, Bobby Carroll (Misty); Loving grandfather (Pop Pop) to Taylor, Sarah, Kendall, Camden and Corin.
Born March 27, 1950, in Washington, D.C. to the late Robert and Bessie Carroll.
He leaves behind sisters Annette Chaney, Pam Cleveland (Skip), brothers Mike Carroll (Cindy), John Carroll (Diana), Francis Brocato, Jr.
After serving in the Army and his tour from Vietnam, he worked as an Elevator Mechanic for the General Services Administration from 1974 to 1992 then The Department of Justice in 1992 until his retirement in 2011. Booker enjoyed being around his many friends and family and would spend most weekends at his river home in Colton’s Point, Md. He loved family time and looked forward to summer vacations and holidays and spending times with his extended family in the Carolinas.
Booker was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1503 in Dale City, VA 22193, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 2165 in Dale City, VA and the American Legion Post 0364.
There will be a brief ceremony at Quantico Marine Corp Base at 11:00 A.M., February 16, 2023, and a “Celebration of Life” at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 North Michigan Avenue Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601-7633 or The American Cancer Society.
