

He was born on March 3, 1949, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to the late Stanley and Helen Miluszewski.
Ronald "Ski" proudly served in the United States Navy and was a dedicated member of the American Legion family for 48 years. He was a long-time member of post 139 in Arlington, where he served as commander (1996-96, 1998-99) and Adjutant (2000-2004, 2011-2012), before transferring to post 148 in Colonial Beach, where he continued his devoted service as Adjutant (2015-2020).
His distinguished Legion service extended across all levels, national, department, district, and post, where his leadership, mentorship and commitment left a lasting legacy.
At the national level, he served in several key roles including: National Sergeant-at-arms, Aerospace Committee Vice Chairman, Veterans Employment Committee, National Security Council and ANAVICUS.
At the Department level, he served as: Department Commander, Children and Youth Chairman, Membership Chairman, VA&R Chairman, and Convention and Conference Chairman.
At the District level, he served as Commander of the 17th District.
After his military service, Ronald enjoyed a distinguished 40-year career at Virginia Hospital Center, where he rose from Medical Technologist to Director of Admitting.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Linda; his children, Jennifer Madaris (John) and Tracey Royall; his 9 beloved grandchildren Korri Hubbard (Austin), Kyle Gregory, Kayla Gregory, Kelsey Gregory, Adyson Royall, Casey Royall, Jessica Royall, Rylie Miluszewski, Peyton Miluszewski, 3 step grandchildren, Hope Madaris, Hannah Madaris, Heather Madaris, 2 great grandchildren, Brooks Hubbard and Beau Gregory, and 3 step great grandchildren Lorenzo, Blaire and Rory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Robert.
A visitation for Ron will take place at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service at 186 Shelton Shop Rd in Stafford, Va. on November 12, 2025 from10:30am-12:30pm. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Quantico National Cemetery on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 1:30pm
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Legion Riders or St. Jude's in Ronald's memory.
Ronald will be known for his warmth, humor, and the joy he brought to all who knew him. To know him was to love him and his spirit will live on in the stories, laughs, and love he leaves behind.
Above all he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose greatest pride and happiness came from his family. His decades of service to The American Legion Family also reflected his unwavering dedication to veterans, youth, and community. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit, laughter, and love will continue to live on in the hearts all who were blessed to know him.
