He was born on November 21, 1934, in Nam Dinh, Viet Nam.
After immigrating to United States, he worked to build his new life in the US. He strived and gained a college education in later years of his life. He went on to be named the Director of Senior Program of Arlington County, which he enjoyed and provided laughter to those he encountered. Although he did not have children of his own, along the journey of his life, many called him “father” for his never ending kindness and caring towards others.
He was born to the late Huu and Hien Nguyen. He will join his siblings, Bieu N. Nguyen, Chi N. Bui, Lam H. Nguyen and Cam Dung Nguyen in the afterlife and Eternal Peace.
He is survived by an uncle, Tinh T. Nguyen of Houston, many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces and four great great nephews as follows;
Tung Nguyen, oldest nephew with wife, Michelle and children
My-Linh, Lawrence and Lena
Hoang Nguyen, nephew with wife Nga and son, John
Hoang-Mai N. Pham oldest niece with husband, Hiep Pham and son, Hubert with wife, Kelly and their son, Emil.
Tanya N. Bui Carlson, niece with husband, Tom and children, Carina Smith with husband Rob and three children, Camrie (with Tony), Cole and Susie, Lionel with Channa and baby Veha, Jahsem, Ryan Bui and Eric Bui-Nguyen.
Ann Bui Brown (deceased) with husband, Williams L. Brown, Sr., and daughter Amanda Brown with husband Neal Pettingill and son William L. Brown, Jr. with wife, Mayra Narva and their two sons, Asher and Lucas.
Andrew L. Nguyen, nephew, and Allison N. Guyen, niece.
He passed away in Virginia with the presence of family.
A Memorial/Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, VA 22554.
