Annemarie Welte

A Stamford resident of 48 years died on Oct. 28th 2010. She was surrounded by her family.

born on Sept. 28th 1934 in freiburg Germany. She was the daughter of Paul and Maria Willmann. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Theodor Welte and her children Gabriele Cossuto, Christina Lake, Barbara LoBuglio, Paul Welte and 10 grandchildren.she is also survived by 4 sisters and brothers: Ursula Willmann, Peter Willmann, Barbara Weise and Thomas Willmann. She was a devout Christian of the Emmaus and St. Maurice communities and was a great supporter of the InterFaith movement. She was a member of the Stamford Turner Lieder Tafel/German-American Club as well as the German Quartett Club of Norwalk.Anna Maria was an endless giving volunteer to many charitable organizations. She enjoyed gardening and maintaining her flowers and plants.

Calling hours will be held Monday November 1st 2010 from 4-8pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home at 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 10 am at St. Maurice Church 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford, CT. Burial will follow at St Johns Cemetary, Darien, CT. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the American Cancer Society or any charity of your choice.
