Barbara C. Gorey, of Stamford, CT passed away peacefully at Stamford Hospital on Sunday.

She was born to the late Linn Randall Crispin and Helen Underhill Crispin on September 10, 1936. She graduated from White Plains High School in 1954 and later Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. Barbara was a resident of Stamford for 56 years, where she raised 4 children. She worked at Connecticut National Bank, Dorr-Oliver, and Howmet Corporation, and volunteered for the PTA and Stamford American Little League.

She is survived by her Sister Joan C. Kent, brother-in-law Washington Irving Kent, son Thomas E. Gorey of Port Chester, NY, daughter Susan L. Gorey-Paddock of Danbury, CT, her daughters Michaela, McKenzie and Nicole and her husband Jonathan Constable, son William J. Gorey of Stamford, CT, and his sons Sean, Matt and Trey and son Michael J. Gorey and his wife Lorri of Summerville, SC and their daughter Allison Genegrasso and son Paul Genegrasso and his wife Sabrina and Paul’s children Paul, Mya, Michael and Vito.

Barbara was a generous and loving person. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished preparing dinner to celebrate birthdays and holidays at home. She loved being a grandmother. Barbara will always be remembered by family and friends for her laughter and fun loving spirit. She will be greatly missed.

The family would like to acknowledge and give special thanks to Kerry and Marie for the compassionate care and assistance they gave to her.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, November 18 from 4pm to 8pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home at 2900 Summer Street in Stamford, CT. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 19 at the Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Queen of Peace Cemetery in Stamford, CT.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
