Brady Tournillon, of Stamford, CT, brought great joy to his parents, Audrey and Nicholas when he entered this world on September 14, 1957. He continued that generosity until he died peacefully with his parents and sister, Tracy Verdon of Stratford, CT nearby on January 2, 2016 at Westchester Medical Center. During his life Brady’s joy was also shared with other sisters Linda Kenney of Martinez, CA and Lori McCloskey of Stanhope, NJ and brothers Jeff of Chicago and Greg of Chesterfield, MO., particularly during his piano recital at age 10 in Manila, Philippines, his Little League Baseball in Rye, NY and his enthusiastic support of the N.Y. Mets and Washington Redskins. Sports were always his passion as he set out to visit all of the “story book” baseball stadiums in the country with his cousins Trey, Todd and Jonathan (Ace-Hacker) Tournillon and cousin-in-law Wayne Westerfield, all of New Orleans and all of whom Brady exchanged long distance teasing during Fantasy Baseball. After finishing Rye High School and State University of N.Y. in Albany on Scholastic Scholarship, Brady did actuarial work for a few years, then attended Syracuse University and obtained his MBA in Finance. Next he worked as Financial Analyst with Standard & Poor (S&P) before being recruited by Fitch & Co where he rose to V.P. and Financial Analyst for the insurance industry. When Fitch was purchased by a British firm, Brady retired and traveled extensively in Europe and across the U.S. He loved to travel, especially to our National Parks as he enjoyed the outdoors and kayaking with his sister Lori and brother-in-law, Matt McCloskey. Upon returning from his travels, Brady sought out his true work-love and joined ESPN. After a brief stint in Boston, he moved to Bristol, CT. where he became a Research Analyst for Sports Center (the guy behind the one we see on screen), where he won two Emmys with their team before retiring the second time. Brady dearly loved his nieces and nephews, Sean Kenney, Dana and Nick Verdon, Amanda and Kyle Tournillon of Chesterfield, MO and Callie Tournillon of Chicago, cousins Nicole Tournillon Westerfield, Lynn Ann, Sandra, Arlene, and Bonne all Triggs before marriage. In fact Brady loved all of his extended family including his Aunt JoAnn Tournillon, sisters-in-law Janis and Suzy Tournillon and brother-in-law Kenny Verdon. Brady was a member of St. Bridgett Catholic Church. A wake will be held at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer St. Stamford, on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 5 to 8 with a funeral service at St. Leo Church 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford, CT on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at Putnam Cemetery in Greenwich, CT. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made to the American Heart Association.
