Candida R. Mercado, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in Stamford, CT. She was a long time resident of Stamford, CT. She was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico. She is survived by her sons Miguel A. Mercado Jr. of Stamford, Wilfredo Mercado of North Carolina, her daughter Brunilda Mercado of New Britain, and her sister Manuela Rodriguez of Caguas, PR. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Sergio Dejesus Jr., Wilfredo Mercado Jr., and Carmen M. Mercado. She was predeceased by her husband Miguel A. Mercado Sr. and daughter Carmen L. Marquez. Visiting hours will be held today Friday, July 15th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM with services at 7:30 PM at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer Street Stamford.
