The photo of Mr. Burke depicts a gentle and happy spirit. While I did not know him I am blessed to know his daughter Michelle and son-in law Clifton. I wish that his spirit will soar with the Eagles as he transitions to the next phase and that those left behind will continue to do the work!  In a good way,

Growing up in Stamford's West Indian community would have been quite different without Carlton Burke.  He was the life of many a party and showed us all how to relate.  Always upbeat and rarely sad he was a mentor to many of us.  God Bless and keep you all.

Carla, Michele and family, we are sorry for your lost but at this time you need to know that you are not alone in your grief. Your dad was here and his life was not in vain. He had his lifetime list of things to do, people to assist, to love, to encourage, to make them laugh. He completed that list and then some..... He will always be in our hearts and memories, when we walk,  when we sit, alone or in a group we will always remember him. So don't be sad be comforted. We loved him.

Daddy is upstairs having a great time with his beloved mother "da-da", uncle Cyril, pops, Cynthia, Orris...what a time they are having.  We will lift him up and celebrate his life.  He has left us with a legacy of pure joy, laughter, a wicked sense of humor and a true love of people.  He was a Proud man..boasty as we say in Jamaica.  So proud of his children and even more so of his grand children and great grands.  He did not want to leave behind his beloved wife Dorothy, but we promised him she will be well taken care of....he loved her so.
