Ceasar J. Latte, 72, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Thursday, February 8 at Stamford Hospital. Ceasar was born on May 30, 1945 to Albert Latte and Angelina Brucoli Latte in Stamford, Connecticut. He was a Norwalk resident for twenty years before moving back to Stamford.
One of the things that brought Ceasar great joy in life was going to car shows in his dream car; a yellow T. Bucket and car cruiser. He was also a member of New Canaan Radio Control Society and enjoyed flying his planes at Waveny Park and Sherwood Island. Ceasar was employed at A+P Supermarket for 38 years until his retirement. He was a master baker of cookies, cakes and pies. Christmas time with Ceasar was especially the best, as he would bake at least 100 different kinds of cookies. It was truly his greatest joy.
Ceasar is survived by the love of his life, and wife of 45 years Rosalie Latte and their cat Precious. He also leaves behind his brother Albert (Suanne), nephew John (Paula), Nikki Liska (Jake) and their son Ryker, nephew Evan Latte, niece Megan Latte, nephew Cole Latte, niece Suanne D’Elia (Marco) and their sons Nico and Marco, niece Noelle Nails (Scotty) and their daughter Jordan, and brother in-law Herman Naring (Lynne) and their children Samantha and Andrew. Ceasar was loved deeply and will be missed dearly by all.
A visitation will be held Monday, February 12, from 4p.m. to 8p.m. at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 13 at 10:30a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave, Stamford. Burial to follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, Stamford.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, the Humane Society, or Saint Jude Children’s Hospital.
