Della Margherite Olsen passed away peacefully on Thursday June 24, 2021 at the age of 102 1/2. A lifelong resident of Stamford, CT, she was born on December 14, 1918, to the late Frederico and Margherita Malvicini.
She graduated from Stamford High School class of 1936; then attended Parsons School of Design, NYC. She enjoyed nature, gardening, and sports, especially archery.
She is survived by her son Woodrow J. Olsen, Jr. and wife Linda of Norwalk, CT; her daughter Dawn Petershagen and husband Larry of Montgomery, TX; her grandchildren Daniel of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Joel and his wife, Lesley, of Austin, TX, Mark of Wyoming, and Scott and his wife Jennifer of San Diego, CA; great grandsons Matthew, Carter, Daylan, Colt, and Clay; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband Woodrow to whom she was married for 45 years, her brother John, and sisters Theresa Amato, Rose Wood, and Amelia Tracey.
