Frederick L. Hitchcock

Fred was born on March 15th 1957 in Stamford, CT and unexpectedly passed away on August 1st, 2015. He grew up in Stamford where he graduated from Stamford High School. He moved to Norwalk, CT and worked as a store manager at Stew Leonard's for over 25 years. Fred always went above and beyond his duty as manager and earned many “Outstanding Employee Awards”. This is where he met his adoring wife, Irene and been married since 1988. He was a loving husband, great father, and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife Irene, daughter Nicole, son Andrei, grandchildren Alexander and Amani, siblings Kenneth, Karen, Joseph, Matthew, Andrew, and Jennifer as well as other beloved extended family. Fred is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Teresa.

The wake will be held at the Leo P. Gallagher & Sons Funeral Home located at 2900 Summer St. in Stamford, CT from 5-9 pm on Tuesday, August 4th, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at the same location at 11 am on Wednesday August 5th, 2015 with Graveside Service to follow at Fairfield Memorial Park.
