Joseph Cuddy

Joe was born in Stamford, CT on April 26, 1946 and was the son of Joseph and Eileen Cuddy. He graduated from J.M. Wright Technical School in Stamford, CT. He had a 46-year career at Stamford Ford working as a service manager.

Joe was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golf, auto-racing, and football. He was a lifelong fan of the New York Giants. He loved his dogs, Barney & Gracie, and enjoyed spending time with them on long walks. He and his wife frequently travelled to Maine before they retired in Portland, ME, where they enjoyed sailing, dining, and visiting local breweries.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Margaret “Peg” Cuddy; his step-children Steven (Kathy) Stenquist, Suellen (Richard) Lyon, and Scott Stenquist; his brothers Daniel Cuddy and Brian (Miriam) Cuddy; his step-grandchildren Keri Stenquist, Sydney Stenquist, Tyler Stenquist, Alyssa Lyon and Christopher Stenquist; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Kevin Cuddy.

Service to be celebrated on June 1 at 10:00am at Leo P Gallagher & Son Funeral Home at 2900 Summer St, Stamford, CT. Private interment immediately following at St. John’s Cemetery in Darien, CT.
