Juana Valdez

Juana Fresolina Valdez "Fresa", 77 resident of Stamford passed away at the Tandet Center on Tuesday February 21st, 2012. She was born on March 30th 1935 in the La Vega Dominican Republic and was the daughter of the late Paulina Fernandez and Jose Ramon Nunez. Fresa is survived by her devoted husband Dante S. Valdez, her two sisters Melida Nunez and Idalia Nunez, brother Arturo Nunez, her 11 loving children, Ramona Valdez, Martha Polonia, Raquel Casiano, Angel Valdez, Jose Valdez, Dario Valdez, Jordin Valdez, Jose Valdez, Carlos Valdez, Israel Valdez, Julio Valdez, her 37 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Juana was a wonderful and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. The center of her world, and the focus of her happiness, was her family, and her final days were spent surrounded by her family. We will never forget the lessons taught, her love, and her dedication.

Visitation for friends and family will be at the Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St, Stamford, CT 06905 on Friday February 24th, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Mass will be held at St. Marys Church 566 Elm Street Stamford, CT 06902 on Saturday February 25th, 2012 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
