Margaret Linn

Margaret was born in Glasgow Scotland on September 13, 1934 to the late Margaret and Bernard Reilly.

Margaret came from a large family of eight children. She had five sisters and two brothers; Bernard (Deceased), May (Deceased), Martha, Patricia, John (Deceased), Josephine and Anne.

Margaret married Francis Linn in Scotland in 1960 and came to United States in 1968. She had three children, Caroline (Deceased), Gerard, and Jacqueline.

Margaret is also survived by her four grandchildren; Reilly, Caroline, Colin and Samantha along with many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was employed as a Medical Records Coder by the Stamford Hospital and the St. Joseph Hospital.

She was actively involved in the church and her community volunteering for many organizations. She was a member of Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes.

Margaret loved to entertain and have her family and friends around her. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and her favorite phrase was “Would you like a wee cuppa cuppa?” meaning would you like some tea. She was warm, compassionate, and loved to show her hospitality.

A wake will be held on Wednesday September 11th at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Bridget of Ireland Church on 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford, CT on Thursday September 12th at 10:00am.
