Maria O. Carmona

Maria Otilia Carmona, 74, entered into eternal rest at St. Camillus Rehab Center on Friday, November 13, 2009 after a very courageous battle with cancer. Maria was born in Colombia and came to the United States 35 years ago. Maria is survived by her beloved husband, José Carmona of 58 years, 10 children , 19 grandchildren, and 3 great-grand children. She is also survived by an infinite number of friends, doctors, relatives who shared her kindness and generosity throughout her life. Although she has now passed on, she leaves with us her love, hard work and devotion to her family and everything she did in her life. Her memory will live on forever. Calling hours will be held at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral home at 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, Ct on Sunday November 15th, 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Catholic Funeral mass will be held at St. Benedicts/Our Lady of Montserrat Church in Cove Road, Stamford, on Monday November 16th, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Bennett Cancer Center in Stamford at The Stamford Hospital foundation, 1351 Washington, Blvd., Suite 202, Stamford, CT 06902 and or St. Camillus Rehab Center at 494 Elm Street, Stamford, CT 06902.
