Norma Ross, of Delray Beach, FL and Stamford, CT passed away on December 12, 2013. Born in Manhattan’s Washington Heights on January 10, 1923, Norma graduated from Hunter College. She dedicated her life to her family, supporting her late husband, Daniel M. Ross, in his insurance business, and providing lifelong advice and encouragement to her children and grandchildren. She was a fund-raiser for Brandeis University Women, a sought-after bridge player, and a caring and trustworthy friend. She gave one hundred percent of herself to everything she did. Norma is survived by her daughter Joan, son Paul, grandson Benjamin Hoffman, granddaughter Hannah Hoffman, nephews Joel Mandelbaum and Michael Ross, niece Joanne Schenendorf, and beloved sister-in-law Phyllis Mandelbaum. Her vitality, wisdom, and humor touched the lives of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held at Temple Sinai 458 Lakeside Dr., Stamford, CT on Monday, December 16th at 10:30 am.
