

PAMELA MARSH HEINZER, a Stamford resident, passed away November 24 at Stamford Hospital. Mrs. Heinzer was born February 27, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Sarah Jewett and William Lawrence Marsh of New York City.
Mrs. Heinzer attended Miss Hall’s school in Pittsfield MA, and the Nightingale-Bamford school in New York City.
Mrs. Heinzer grew up in New York City, and lived in Stamford for more than sixty years. She made many contributions to her community during her lifetime. She was a member of the Roxbury Community Association and the Roxbury Horseman’s Association. She participated in numerous charitable activities.
Mrs. Heinzer is survived by her children: Charles J. Heinzer IV and his wife Anne of Palm City, FL, Michael J. Heinzer and his wife Patricia of Bethel, CT, Catherine Heinzer Davis and her husband Thomas of Castle Rock, CO, and Peter J. Heinzer of Stony Brook, NY. Mrs. Heinzer is survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and a sister, Nancy Marsh Griffin of Fort Mill, SC.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles J. Heinzer III.
Calling hours will be at Leo P. Gallagher F.H. 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT, Monday, December 2, 2013, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 3 at 11:00 am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Stamford Health Foundation, 1351 Washington Boulevard, Stamford, CT 06902
