Richard Leon Knight

Richard L. Knight age 70 of Stamford, CT beloved husband of Mable Fitts-Knight died suddenly Thursday July 3, 2014 at Stamford Hospital. Richard was born in Williamston, NC on April 6, 1944. Richard was a retired employee with New Canaan Board of Education. He was predeceased by his parents Eva Spruill and Jack Knight also two sisters and five brothers. He leaves to mourn a brother John D. Knight (Michelle) and a sister Verna James (Billy), two sons Paulie H. Hill(Maria) and Alden R. Knight(Ebony) seven daughters, Candace and Robin Knight, Demetria Santos(Joe), Juanita and Michelle Williams, Ramona Arrington and Treesa Brown and a host of grandchildren David McGee, Dominique Billie, Dazanique Knight, Shabella and Paulie Hill, Taneisha, Tyshon and Shekia Santos, Shaelyn, Shanika, Khyren, Queta, Shanita and Keleb just to mention a few and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Richard had a full blessed life and loved his family and friends, he will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Funeral Services will be held Saturday July 12th, at 10:30 AM, at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer Street Stamford. Interment will follow in Putnam Cemetery Parsonage Road Greenwich. Visting hours will be held at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
