

Teresa (Terry) was born in Brooklyn, NY to Annunziato and Maria Condo on January 14, 1931. She received her degree from Salem Hospital of Nursing and started her career at Boston Psychiatric Hospital in Massachusetts. She later moved to NYC and worked in the maternity ward at NY Presbyterian Hospital. While living in NYC she met Pasquale (Pat) Taccone and they married September 4, 1954 in Queens, NY. After several years, they moved to Stamford, CT, to raise a family and she began working at Stamford Hospital. Terry later joined Stamford Pediatrics and worked until she retired. Shortly after her husband’s passing, in 2005, she moved to Heritage Village in Southbury, CT.
Terry was a quiet and private person who enjoyed gardening, reading and was an excellent cook. She was a true New Englander at heart and loved the Red Sox. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family deeply, always inspiring them to work hard, travel and enjoy life. She was a strong compassionate person with a witty sense of humor and lived the values she inspired. Terry touched the heart of many and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by Annunziato and Maria Condo (parents) of Haverhill, MA., Pasquale (brother) and Muriel Condo of Chelmsford, MA., Flora (sister) and Vincent McLaughlin of Lowell, MA., and her husband of 51 years, Pasquale Thomas Taccone.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Tom) and Sheila Taccone, Marc and Patti Taccone both of Stamford, CT. and her daughter, Paula Taccone and Mark Lefferts of Sandy Hook, CT. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Matthew, Timothy, Robert, Brian, Jackie, three step-grandchildren Casey and Krystal (wife), Lauren and Andy (husband), Andrew and five step-great grandchildren Piper, Sawyer, AJ, Eva, Braydon and many nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday November 23rd, 2021. Burial will immediately follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Terry’s memory may be sent to the Lutheran Home of Southbury, located at 990 Main Street North, Southbury CT.
