Victoria Velez

Victoria Velez passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 24, 2018 at Saint Joseph’s Manor in Trumbull, CT. She was born in Aguadilla Puerto Rico on December 15, 1929 to Eufemio Paredes and Monserrate Perez. She moved to Stamford in 1949 where she met and married Efrain J. Velez. Victoria will be remembered by her family and those who loved her as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A devout member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Stamford for over 40 years, Victoria had a gentle, humble heart and huge smile. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Efrain J. Velez, Sr. and her son Efrain Velez, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Crespo, Mildred Torres, Iris Negron, Yolanda Velez-Santiago (Ramon), Myra Velez-Dibble (Kenneth). 18 Grandchildren and 23 Great grandchildren whom she loved dearly and held close to her heart. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday January 30th at 10:00 AM at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer Street in Stamford. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery 66 Woodland Place Stamford. Her family will receive friends on Monday, January 29th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
