William Joseph Koslo Jr.

William Joseph Koslo, Jr. a 21 Year resident of Darien CT, passed away May 5, 2011. He was 51. Raised in Garden City, NY, he was a 1978 graduate of Chaminade High School and of Dartmouth College in 1982. Prior to joining Bank of Ireland in June 2010, Bill spent 5 years at CIT, during which he ran the firm’s Capital Markets Group and was President of its broker-dealer. Bill’s previous experience includes approximately 25 years of leveraging loans, private placements and high yield debt. He also spent several years at regional investment bank, Rodman & Renshaw, specializing in executive IPOs, secondary offerings, and M&A transactions. Bill began his career in the Manufacturers Hanover Credit Training Program.

Bill was actively involved in coaching both Darien Little League and CYO basketball.

Bill is survived by 3 children, Elizabeth, Amanda, William III, and their mother, Lisa Koslo, all of Darien, CT. Also two brothers, Mark Koslo and Patrick Koslo, of Garden City, and, a sister, Karen Koslo Bingham, also of Garden City. In addition, Bill is survived by many nieces and nephews, He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and William Koslo, of Garden City , NY. His father was former President & CEO of Diamond International Corp.

Calling hours will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 from 4-8 PM at The Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer St Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 10 AM at St Aloysius Roman Catholic Church 40 Maple St. New Canaan, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Aloysuis School, 33 South Ave, New Cannaan, CT 06840.
