Yvonne Jeanette Ward Coppin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yvonne Jeanette Coppin on May 17, 2024. Born in St. Lucia to the late Olga Ward, Yvonne was a vibrant and loving soul who dedicated her life to caring for others.

Yvonne worked as a seamstress and caregiver, roles that perfectly encapsulated her nurturing spirit and attention to detail. She had a unique talent for creating beautiful garments and a genuine passion for looking after children, always ensuring they felt loved and cherished. Her fun-loving nature was evident in her appreciation for good jokes, both telling and receiving, bringing joy and laughter to those around her.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her oldest son Ryan Coppin. She leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor her memory: her two sisters, Sonia Ward and Annette Ward; her two sons, Vincent Ward (Wanda Weekes) and Corey Coppin (Nhrai Jordan); and her eight grandchildren, Aiysia Jones, Rynasha Coppin, Vance Ward, Ahleicia Coppin, Ethan Grimes, Victoria Ward, Kaidan Ferguson and Corey Coppin Jr. She is also survived by her niece, Shajadra Franklyn-Davis, and husband Vincent Coppin, as well as numerous cousins, family members, and friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.

Yvonne's life was a testament to love and care. She made an indelible mark on everyone she met, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. As we celebrate her life, we remember her as a woman who loved deeply, laughed heartily, and cared unconditionally.

Yvonne Jeanette Coppin will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her spirit lives on in the many lives she touched.
