Max Edward "Eddie" Welch

Max (Eddie) Welch, 53, passed away suddenly on October 20, 2014. He was born January 2, 1961 in Gaston County. Eddie was employed by Cartner Glass Systems for many years and will be deeply missed by his work family.

Eddie leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Barbara; dog, Baby and cat, Luna; children, Summer and husband William, William (Billy), Beth; grandchildren, Logan, Jonathan, Savannah, Bailey, Chandler; sister, Darlene and husband Johnny, brother, Roger and wife Linda, sister-in-law, Pam Gordon and husband Ronnie; nephew, Chris and wife Tracy, several other nieces and nephews; childhood friend, Kevin Henderson; and the girls; and two close neighbors, Barbara and Ms. Ruby.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Nellie Welch, Nova and Martin Hand.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday October 24, 2014 at Carothers Funeral Home in Stanley.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Tri County Animal Rescue or the Humane Society of Mecklenburg County.
