Ronald loved Jesus and was a devoted member of First Freewill Baptist Church. He cherished his family deeply and enjoyed camping in the mountains, spending time with his beloved little dogs, and the freedom of the open road as a truck driver. Driving trucks was more than a job to Ronald — it was something he truly loved.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his son, Scott Earney and brother, Ney Earney, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Grace Cox; son, Tim Earney; sister, Judy Huyes and many grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at First Freewill Baptist Church with the celebration of life service beginning at 3:00 pm.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Freewill Baptist Church, 841 Noles Drive, Mt. Holly, NC 28120.
