

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Native Islander.
Ann Viola Edwards Cosgrove, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born on May 5, 1939, the daughter of Bernard and Viola (Johnson) Edwards. She was predeceased by three older brothers, John, Bill, and Art, and a younger sister, Marge.
A graduate of Curtis High School and Katharine Gibbs School, Ann was an executive secretary before starting a family with her cherished husband of 55 years, Tom, who passed in 2019. Together they raised four devoted sons. Ann ran an in-home typing service for many years until returning to office work at Northfield Community LDC before finally retiring.
She enjoyed flower gardening, playing bridge, attending musical theater, taking her family on vacation, and throwing parties and barbeques. She was a congregant of St Adalbert & St Roch’s parish.
Ann is survived by four sons: John and his wife, Theresa, of Clifton Park, NY; Thomas and his wife Nina, of Branchburg, NJ; Patrick and Gerald of Staten Island; seven grandchildren: Sean, Kevin, Nick, Catherine, Aidan, Patrick, and Emily; several in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as extended family members and friends.
