

Educator, Eucharistic minister, devoted wife and aunt
Anna Pantano-Fischer of Dongan Hills passed away Monday, June 26, 2017, at Clove Lakes Rehab & Nursing Facility. She was 81 years old.
Born in Manhattan, Anna went to Public School 11 and later graduated from Wagner College with both a bachelor's and a master's degree. She last worked as an assistant principal at Clara Barton High School in Brooklyn.
Anna was a member of the Third Order of St. Dominic as well as an active member of St. Ann's Church, where she was a lector and Eucharistic minister.
Anna leaves behind her husband of 30 years, Hermann; nephews, James, John, Joseph and Richard, and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be at Virginia Funeral Chapel on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. On Friday at 10 a.m. there will be a Mass at St. Ann's Church, 101 Cromwell Ave., Staten Island, N.Y. 10305, followed by interment at Moravian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann's Church.
