Junie, as his loving wife called him, was married to Carol Pavis Fiorella for nearly 70 years. He is survived by his 5 children Danny (Adele), Denise (Rick Gregorio), Glenn (Bernice), Victor (Lillian) and John (Tara), 16 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Born to the late Anthony and Helen Fiorella, Tony was the oldest brother to Barbara Fleming and Jon Fiorella and 5 siblings that passed before him. Tony was born in Tarrytown, NY and moved to Staten Island as a young boy. He enjoyed clamming and crabbing in the waters of Great Kills where he grew up. Tony loved sports including softball, football and golf. He was on the Navy boxing team and the Golden Gloves. His professional journey included serving his country in the Navy on the U.S.S. Wisconsin, working at Nassau Smelting, a Marine Boiler on the Staten Island Ferries and served as a Police Officer for the NYC Department of Marine and Aviation. He was a man of faith and a devout Catholic, and a long time parishioner of St. Clare's Church.
Anthony loved reading books about Staten Island and shared all his stories of his life there with us. He was a true gentleman-a wonderful, handsome, generous man that was loved deeply and will be missed by all.
