Bernadette Smith

Bernadette was born on Staten Island, NY on June 6, 1939. Upon graduating from Curtis High School, she worked in Manhattan, working as an Executive Assistant in the trading room at Goldman Sachs.

She is predeceased by her parents Ruth and Charles, her beloved husband of 60 years George, her brothers Charles and James and her sisters Audrey and Veronica.

She was a devoted mother of Gregg (Wife-Joanne), Jodi (Husband-Steven), and Kevin (Wife-Diane). She is survived by her brother Larry and sisters Lorene and Lenaye. Also many nieces and nephews.

Her pride and joy were her six grandchildren: Jake, Daniel, Natalie, Jillian, Megan, and Robin.

Bernadette loved to travel and most importantly to her was spending time with her family. She will be missed immensely and forever remembered by those who loved her.

A visitation for Bernadette will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

A religious ceremony will occur Friday, February 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Church of Saint Rita, 281 Bradley Ave, New York, NY 10314.

A committal service will occur Friday, February 28, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Peter's Cemetery, 52 Tyler Ave, New York, NY 10310.
