Mom's life was all about selfless sacrifice for her boys Manny, Adriano and me, Vito. We grew up in an extremely nurturing environment that often crossed over into being spoiled. Caterina was known for her quick wit, a fierce independent spirit and her tira mi su was better than anything you'd find in a restaurant. In addition to her sons, mom is survived by her dear daughters-in-law Sharon and Allison. She was also a devoted zia to her many nephews and nieces. Caterina was born on July 4th, 1935, in Carbonara di Bari, Italy. She came to the US in late 1967 to establish a home for her soon-to-be family and her cherished parents, who would come later. Mom arrived here alone to lay the groundwork for our futures, but she leaves us accompanied by the love and adoration of the many whose lives she has touched. Mom has a home forever in our hearts. Ciao, but just for now, Mom.
