

Army veteran, Mets and Giants fan, dear grandfather
Charles Jackson, a retired teamster who drove for UPS, died on March 19, 2016, at the age of 67 after a long illness.
Charles is survived by his wife, Janet (nee Frammarino); his daughter, Lisa Rinaldi; his sons, Charles and Thomas Jackson; his son in-law, Brian Rinaldi; his daughters-in law, Dana and Nina Jackson; his grandchildren, Shawn, Angelique, Jacob, Christian, Camryn, Ryan, Aidan, Conor and Joslyn; and his siblings, Marilyn, Jack, Geraldine, Elizabeth, Christopher, and Janet.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Lillian; and his brothers, Thomas, Edward, and Paul.
Charles was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Aug. 17, 1948. He attended George Westinghouse High School.
He served in the Unites States Army as a military police officer stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War.
Charles loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and was an avid Mets and Giants fan.
Visiting hours for Charles will be at Harmon Funeral Home on Monday, March 21, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on March 22 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church on Amboy Road. Private cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Charles' name can be made to Autism Speaks.
