A funeral service celebrating Charlie’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Charlie was a proud graduate of Curtis High School, where he distinguished himself as an undefeated swimmer in New York City high school competition. He carried that pride and competitive spirit throughout his life.
Charlie loved spending time playing in dart leagues and softball games, and he was a devoted fan of the New York Jets and the New York Mets.
He worked for Cantor Fitzgerald during the first attack on the Twin Towers in 1993. Having left the company before the 9/11 attacks, Charlie was nevertheless devastated by the loss of so many dear friends. After 9/11, he chose never to work in New York City again. He later worked for Trinity Lutheran School and the Staten Island Railway.
Charlie is survived by his loving mother, Karen; his dear sister, Pamela Jocsak; his cherished nieces and nephew, Katrina, Charlene, and Brenden; and his great-niece, Ava Barcelona.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
