Forever part of the crew—David’s warmth and gentle heart will never be forgotten.

Our hearts are broken over the loss of David. My daughter Adri and their “crew” of five have been inseparable since childhood, more like an extended family than friends. David was always a bright, irreplaceable part of that circle. 

     I can still picture him in his puffer jacket no matter the weather, even heading into the pool, and how he always had his bathing suit tucked in his backpack “just in case” he could come home with Adri. Coaching him in swimming and having him around our home was a joy. He became part of our family in all the ways that matter.

     What I will always remember is his smile, his kindness, and the way he was endlessly polite. I used to joke that I wished Adri were as well‑mannered as he was. He was the kid who always offered a hug, even when you couldn’t get your own kids to give you one. He was truly loved by our entire family and will be greatly missed.

     To Dave, Peter, and Joan, our hearts are with you. David’s spirit, kindness, and joy were gifts from God, and we are grateful to have been part of his life. His presence shaped our children’s lives, and his memory will stay with us always. May God hold you close and grant you peace during this unimaginable time. God bless David.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your beloved son. Although I did not have the chance to know him personally, I have known his dad  since childhood and can only imagine how special he was, and how deeply he was loved.

I can't begin to understand what you're going through.  When I think of David what comes to mind is a quick wave and a sincere smile from a respectful young man on the move.  God will welcome him with open arms as one of his best.  Stay strong.

I didn't know you well but the amount of stories and laughs that I heard that were produced by you were endless. You were one of the most interesting people I'd ever heard about and I even had the opportunity of meeting you once or twice. Your friends spoke about you with such lovely and kind words and your peers did with valor and strength. You were loved by all, even in your final moments. I pray that you are fully in God's hands with no worries on your shoulders or heavy thoughts. God is with you always and forever. I can’t fathom that I am writing this right now… we have known the Pineda family for many years. “Little” David was part of our OLQP Class of 2023- a great group of friends who despite going to different high schools- always kept up with each other. Our not so little David was the most beautiful soul- ever since he was a teeny baby. He had a smile and a laugh that was contagious. He was always kind and helpful and loving. He was one of the most respectful kids you could ever meet to not just adults- but his “friends”. The world lost one of the brightest lights. Sending so much love and light to David and Petey. No words could ever make this right- just know that we are all thinking of you and sending you  all of our love, thoughts, prayers and hugs.

Our hearts are broken. David was an integral part of an amazing group of childhood friends that have remained close from kindergarten until today. It's the kind of friend group that every parent wants for their kids. From the time he was little, David always had the sweetest smile, the gentlest soul. 

I was so happy when my son Dante told me that David was going to Farrell and that they would get to be brothers there together.  Just recently, he told me how everyone at Farrell loved David, how he made everyone smile all the time. 

Nothing made me happier than when "the crew" (the original friend group who attend 3 different high schools now) got together to celebrate a birthday or just hang out. They had that "friends forever" magic that you don't often see anymore. 

We are praying that God brings comfort and strength to Dave, Peter and family. Rest in eternal peace, sweet boy. Your friends will miss you and love you forever and remember you always.

As a junior, and as a friend, David was an outstanding person, his humor got me through the tough times, we'd talk, and in gym class, walk and talk every day, he was the friendliest person out of the years in Farrell that I am in right now, he made high school great for me. Vir Fidelis my friend!

David was an extraordinary person. I coached him swimming and he was a highlight of practice, always joking around, always trying to pull one of on me by lane cutting, and smiling when he knew he was caught. Him and his brother were an awesome pair. Behind all that joking around was a polite, humble, and respectful person. He will surely be missed and my heart aches for his family and his friends.
