

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Doraine Piscina, 82, of Dongan Hills, a retired office manager, former dancer and craft instructor who was devoted to her family, died Saturday in Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Manhattan.
Born Doraine Gash in Brooklyn, she graduated from Bushwick High School. She moved to Dongan Hills in 1959 and lived there until 1988, when she relocated to Las Vegas. She returned to Dongan Hills in 1998.
Mrs. Piscina was an office manager for the former W.T. Grant department store in New Dorp for 10 years, retiring in 1975. Her family also said she was a senior tap dancer with the Sun City Dance Co. in Las Vegas, dancing at hotels there, and taught scrapbooking.
She was a parishioner of St. Ann's R.C. Church, Dongan Hills.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Edward; her sons, Alan and Edward; her daughter, Nancy Piscina; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Church. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
