To remind you that you're My Forever Friend.  There are so many things I wanted to say that every night I sit and pray hoping you can hear me say I miss and love you My Forever Friend.  There's so much hurt I feel inside and in nobody I can confide.  My Forever Friend has gone away  and in my heart the pain and sorrow stays.  Your rocking chair that sits upstairs is empty and so cold.  I wish you could come home and be with me because I need My Forever Friend to hold. It seems like only yesterday that we were happy and together.  You gave this lonely girl a Forever Friend and for that I will love you forever.  You've been gone for over a year my friend but you're memory will never leave my heart.  You and me, My Forever Friend, we are together, yet apart.****************** I wish it didn't hurt so much but you meant the world to me and now you're gone. I know that life goes on and you have to try and be strong. Some days are easier than others though. I know I have you as an Angel up there and that you are watching over me. Today is your one year anniversary in Heaven Dorothy.You were a Friend and a second Mom to me, and now you are my Angel. I think about you often and wish you were still here with me.  I know that just because I can"t see you or hear you that doesn't mean that you are not still with me anymore.  At 12:00am this morning, i looked up into the dark sky and saw one star shining so bright. I couldn't see any other stars - just that one.  It shined right outside my bedroom window and i knew it was you Dorothy telling me that you're still here beside me and that made me smile. Please be happy in Heaven my Angel.  I will see you again one day - I am sure of that. I Love You.

John, mom and I were just talking about your mom's birthday and how she missed calling her last year for the first time in many years. I guess with my dads health and my husbands- it just passed by. She feels so bad that she isn't able to talk to her again. Now my dad is in heaven and not a day goes by that I don't think of him. I don't cry as often but I talk to him always as I know you do with your mom. Hugs to you. / Laurie

today - I know that would be something you would treasure.  I play the opera CD you gave to me every night before I go to sleep.  It reminds me of you and how you loved to listen to your music.  I hope Heaven is like the Metropolitan Opera House today and you have a front row seat. I love you Dorothy and I miss you.  You're with me everyday,though,in my thoughts and in my heart - that will never change.

Dottie, Norm and I will always remember the wonderful memories you and Walter shared with us through the years up in Maine I will treasure the times we went to tag sales and then out to lunch, or to Rummel's for ice cream. Forgive me for my lateness in giving you my most sincere condolences, Mr. Mauch. I wish you spiritual peace in the passing on of your mom. Though I don't know about the afterlife, I do know that we are the living embodiment of energy, and energy never dies, so know that she lives on, in a peaceful existence beyond this one. I am lighting a candle for you tonight and I know it will burn brightly and never fade out. I know you light Heaven up because everyday that I spent with you on this earth was a day you brightened my life. I know I have two Angels in Heaven now and they are both my mother. Thank you for being the woman you were while you were here - a woman who I truly loved and became so close with and who will be in my thoughts everyday while I am still on this earth. Not a day goes by without me thinking of you. I have visited the Church everyday since your funeral to talk to you, say a prayer for you, and play a Pavarotti song for you like I promised. I am NOT going to say goodbye to you tonight - that sounds so final and I don't want that.  I know one day I will see you again and that makes me smile - just like you used to make me smile when you were here.  I wish you were still here.  I miss you Dorothy, but I thank God, everyday, that He brought YOU into my life.

Even though we didnt know each other for a long time, I felt like I knew you forever.  It was so easy to talk to you and I just loved hearing all your stories of when you were a younger woman.  You will be truly missed and it was my pleasure in knowing you and your son John.

John,
You wrote a beautiful tribute to your Mother. Keep in mind the promises of Christ- We all will see her again. Take comfort in that. Do not think it was any coincidence your mother died on your Birthday. She in her heart waited for you on your day. Any mother would be blessed to have a wonderful man like you for a son.  I pray for her daily in my prayers. I always recall her smiling. I am confident she is in the light of our Lord right now.

John and family. I am so very sorry to learn of your mom's passing. I have such awesome memories of our times in Maine running between the camps and hanging out with your mom. She holds a very special place in my heart as well as my girls' as well.

I am so sorry for your loss.  You were a wonderful son to your Mother.  The love and care you gave to her while she was here with you was extremely special.  She loved you so much for everything you gave her and for everything you did for her.

Your Mom is your special angel now.  She may be gone from this earth, but you can reach out to her whenever you want.  She may not answer you with words you can hear but I know she will always be listening and trying to guide you whenever you need help.  
A light that shined on earth burned out on June 6, 2015, and Heaven became that much brighter because of your Mother's passing.  I truly believe that you will see her again one day, but until then always keep her memory close to your heart.

Dorothy, you were more than a friend to me, you were like my second mom.  I will always love you for that. I'll miss you everyday of my life but the tears that I shed now will be replaced with happy memories.  I didn't know you very long but you made me feel like I knew you my whole life.  You were a special lady and I promise that your memory will live in my heart always.  John, I am so sorry that she is gone.  You took such good care of her and she loved you so much.  When you think of her, always recall the times that bring a smile to your face. I know it may hurt too much right now but eventually the smiles will come and I know she'll be smiling with you. I never met Dorothy, but yet I feel I knew her because I am witness to how her spirit moved John ( the only member of her family of my acquaintance) to the noblest poignant devotion to her, and how the example she clearly set for him over the years must have contributed essentially to the formation of a character that exemplifies decency. I am so deeply deeply saddened by the passing of Mrs. Mauch. I met her about 40 years ago and she was always so pleasant, kind and caring. Her obituary photo shows the softness and  gentleness of her soul. I am going to miss her. I have been friends with John for a long time and John,  you loved and cared for her so very well. I will pray for her daily. Rest in peace gentle angel.
