I knew ed back in the old days and in his visits to nj he was an amazing person a real mensch may his soul rest in peace I just found out today when I called to ask his advise on a case

I met Ed  30 years ago as codefendants on a case. Judge Monteleone had sent us out to pick a jury withou someone from from Ed's office present.  I called his office to let him know what the judge did and as ordered went to the jury room.   Shortly thereafter Ed arrived and threatened to punch me in the nose for starting without him.  I told him I had no choice and remember who it was who called his office.   We quickly became friends and although we did not see each other often whenever we met in court  we engaged in a warm embrace.   I am deeply saddened by the loss of Ed who was an incredibly talented lawyer and friend.  My deepest sympathies to his family who have suffered this great loss.

I met Ed almost thirty years ago as an adversary on a medical malpractice case in Brooklyn. His easy, but direct manner in the courtroom mesmerized the jury. As a young lawyer, I learned much from that experience and had always enjoyed our conversations over the years. Ed was an outstanding trial lawyer, a consummate gentlemen and a good friend. I am deeply saddened by his passing.

I am shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Eddie's passing.  On behalf of the entire Dawe family, I would like to express our sincere condolences.  My father loved Eddie who brought a special joy and pride into his life.  I will be forever grateful for the kindness, respect, and love he showed to my father, particularly in the late stages of his life.  He was a special man, and I know that he will enjoy eternity in heaven.  I imagine him in a hardy embrace with my dad, each one smiling for a job well done.  Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I will always remember Eddie's smile. It was there whenever I spoke with him or whenever I saw him. It was a friendly smile with just a hint of mischievousness. It was just like Eddie. He was someone I could go to with questions about how to handle almost any odd ball legal issue, he must have heard them all, and his advice and direction was consistently on point and helpful. Despite his almost constant trial preparation he seemed to always have time for my questions. I consider myself very fortunate to have known him and to have worked with him. I will miss our talks about family and baseball. Since I was a Mariner fan and Eddie loved the Mets he understood my frustration over my teams failures. I also think he especially enjoyed hearing me express my emnity towards the Yankees for buying players away from the Mariners. I will miss him, as he was one of those rare special people. This world has so few of them.

I am saddened to learn of Ed's passing.  We have been friends since law school and I was always glad to see Ed when we ran into each other in the courthouse. 
Luckily, we had a long visit in January and caught up on what we were each doing. 

We were adversaries years ago when he was doing medical malpractice defense work so I actually got to try a case with him. 

My heartfelt condolences to his family and extended family in the legal community.  What a great guy, he will be missed by many.

I am absolutely shocked.  I just spoke to Ed about two weeks ago regarding a legal matter.  He told me he was feeling great, was only doing consulting work for  Weitz & Lux & was working on his own.  He said he liked it much better this way  because he could spend more time with his grandkids. He was a very kind & gentle man. I was working for Dr. Adam Bender & that is how I met Ed.  We did a lot of work for Weitz & Lux & Dr. Bender also treated Ed for back pain. Ed was an excellent lawyer & a wonderful man. I am so terribly sorry for his whole family.  My prayers go with you.

Ed made time for everyone, regardless of their rank in life.  He was a true and sincere friend to so many.
He was also amazingly generous and appreciative to the people he worked with.
You would never guess that this gentle man was such an amazing and powerful attorney pursuing justice for so many. 
Ed was so proud of his family. He was the consummate husband, father and grandfather.  He has left an amazing legacy that I pray will offer comfort to Rose and his children.

I am very saddened at the news of Ed's death. Having worked with him as a medical consultant, I can attest to his brilliance, thoroughness, compassion and obvious caring for everyone he represented. May God bring comfort to his beloved family.

YEd was the best mentor that anyone could have ever asked for. May God's grace and mercy carry his family through their time of grief.  Rose, Ed, Marissa, my prayers is with you.  I will truly miss him.

A special light has gone out. All will miss his smile and his great personality. He was just such a NICE man. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

I can only imagine the pain you are going through,. A beautiful soul has passed, but the memories will last forever. I will always remember Christmas Eve when I first met your beautiful family at Lois and Richard's and the love that shined through all of you. You are all in my prayers.

For the lessons you taught, the example you set, and the person you helped become, you will forever be in my heart. You are the best Mentor and Friend an Italian kid from Massapequa could ever have. You and Ro set the bar for what a Loving Marriage should be.  You both parented Eddie Jr. and Marissa with love and trust and devotion and inspired me to the same for Liv. I only pray she turns out half as good as your two. On every major decision in my professional career(and most personal ones too), I sought your counsel and you never steered me wrong. Like so many people I will miss you more than words can say. I feel blessed to have known you and for the rest of my days until we meet again, I will continue to aspire to be like you. Your legacy will live on every time I tell a young lawyer the Rolex story or the Bailment story or my many stories about the extraordinary human being who just happened to be my friend Eddie B. Ed was the light of the office. He referred to himself as "Brad Pitt" He will be dearly missed by all.
