July 9, 1939 – October 18, 2025
Elaine Marino, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
Born in the Bronx, New York, on July 9, 1939, to Carmela and Frank Muscarella, Elaine later made her home in Staten Island, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and connection. She was married to her devoted husband, Anthony Marino, who predeceased her in 1997. Together, they shared many wonderful years of partnership and raised their sons, Joseph and Salvatore, who were her greatest pride and joy.
Elaine was a proud and devoted grandmother to Jake, Luke, and Marianna, whose lives she brightened with her gentle spirit, humor, and endless affection. She is also survived by her loving sister, Mary Ann Esposito; her nephew and niece, Frank and Mary Ann.
A longtime Staten Island resident, Elaine was known for her warmth, sharp wit, and delight in life’s simple joys. She took joy in cooking and gathering her family and friends. Elaine spent many happy years working at her neighborhood hair salon — a place that brought her laughter, daily companionship, and lifelong friendships. She treasured her lifelong friends who became family to her. Her kindness, humor, and generosity left an impression on everyone she met.
She will be deeply missed by her family, her friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at Casey Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 21st from 2-4PM and 7-9PM followed by a Catholic service at St. Rita’s on Wednesday, October 22nd at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in her memory — just as Elaine lived her life, with grace, generosity, and heart.
