Emanuele 'Wally' Piacentino, 86 Beloved father and adored grandfather Emanuele "Wally" Piacentino passed away on May 4, 2017. The viewing will take place on Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Virginia Funeral Chapel. On Tuesday, there will be a Mass of Christian Burial from Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow immediately at Moravian Cemetery. Wally was a lifelong resident of Staten Island, residing in Sunnyside. He was the beloved father of Emanuele Jr. and his wife, Stephanie, and Patrick and his wife, Mary. Wally was the adored grandfather of Christina, Jessica, and Erica. He was predeceased by his siblings, Frank, Salvatore, Leonard, Joseph, Mildred, Jennie and Josephine. He is survived by many nieces and nephews as their well-loved Uncle Wally, and by his dedicated sister-in-law, Teresa. Wally was the husband of the late Anna, whom he was married to for 43 years. Wally loved all sports, including the Mets, Giants, and Knicks. He was an avid walker through the local parks, and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. He made many friends through nights out at bingo and was a devoted church- goer and usher at Our Lady of Good Counsel. He served his country proudly and honorably as a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Wally had a very charismatic, friendly, and easy personality. He was sociable and had compliments for all. He enjoyed family gatherings and times with his grandchildren. He is now reunited with his beloved wife and will be forever remembered as a wonderful dad. We will love and miss you forever.
