

Frank Dillon, 92, of Sunnyside, a former firefighter of the FDNY and Korean War Veteran, died Friday, February 7 in CentraState, Freehold. He was married to Dolores Snyder in 1953, whom he was predeceased by in 2010.
Mr. Dillon was born and raised in Brooklyn and moved to Sunnyside in 1980. He was also a long time parishioner of St. Teresa’s Church. He helped raised his granddaughter, Laura, alongside his wife Dolores.
Frank was one of the most selfless & generous person, who would give you the shirt off his back. He loved talking about his job as a firefighter and was still active in the retiree system. An avid Giants fan, on his spare time, he enjoyed watching football, going on trips to Atlantic City, vacationing, walking in Clove Lakes Park and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter Lorraine, granddaughter Laura, grandson-in-law Thomas and two great grandchildren Tiffany and Madison.
A visitation for Francis will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM at St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 1634 Victory Blvd, New York, NY 10314. A committal service will occur Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Ave, New York, NY 10309.
