

Born in Brooklyn, he was one of 10 children. He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II stationed in the South Pacific.
He worked as a mail handler at a post office in Brooklyn for about 25 years, retiring in 1987. He moved to Great Kills in 1997.
The father of seven children, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a parishioner of St. Clare's R.C. Church, Great Kills, and enjoyed listening to the music of Jimmy Roselli and playing cards.
His wife of 47 years, the former Maria Landro, died in 2009.
Surviving are his sons, Ralph and Neil; daughters, Michele Tenore, Linda and Donna Garone, Regina Aiello and Jozette Russo, eight grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
The funeral will be Friday from the Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass at 9:45 a.m. in St. Clare's Chapel, Great Kills. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
