Gloria A. Moody

She graduated from Huntington High School in 1954 and attended Virginia State College. Her major was Nursing and minor was Sociology.

In 1957, she visited her godmother Anna on Staten Island and at that moment in her life she became a New Yorker forever.

She embarked in a career at the Fireman's Insurance Company, where her specialization was coding.

One serendipitous morning during her commute to work she met a young man by the name of Chester Moody. They were happily married for 56 years until Chester passed away 2016.

Gloria was the youngest of a family of five: Joseph Hargraves, Lucille Johnson, Billy and Bobby Hargraves. All of her family members from the past and present were always in Gloria's heart.

Gloria has several nieces and nephews, and she especially appreciated her nieces Joanne and her namesake Gloria Denise who kept in touch even when she was ill.

Gloria is survived by her three daughters Cynthia, Christina and Inga; in which she will forever be honoured, appreciated and loved in their hearts.
